All Her HeartWords and Music by Alan Harkrader and Betty Harkrader About the Song: My wife called me on the phone one day and said "I've got a song in my head can you record it?". I said that I would put her on the speaker phone and record her on a cassette. She has never sang in front of me for the 38 years we have been married. ( Although I have heard her from time to time singing when she didn't know I was in ear shot.) So I had the recorder ready and told her to go ahead. She was driving her car and was more afraid of loosing the song than singing in front of me. ( I have always encouraged her to sing because from what I had heard, I felt she could carry a tune fine.) So she sang this tune and when she was finished she ask me if I had gotten it. I looked at the recorder and it had not been set up right. I told her she was going to have to sing it again and so after not voluntarily singing for me for all these years she was going to have to repeat her performance. She did fine, and I loved the song and both of her performances, one of which I have on tape. I wrote the chorus after hearing her verses. Lyrics: You don't have all her heart, I can feel it when I look at her It's true that love is blind, we were young and foolish way back then CHORUS I need a second chance to have all her heart and love again, CHORUS I need a second chance to have all her heart and love again, You don't have all her heart, I can feel it when I look at her
